  • Remarks addendumAbout the home's designer: Architect Victor Civkin was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States in 1922. Settling first in Chicago and later financing the building of his own home in Fairfield, Civkin was a proponent of Chicago's Modernist style and designed several hundred homes in its likeness between 1930 and his death in 1968. While during his time his style was considered eccentric for Fairfield, he is appreciated in the town today for his ahead-of-the-times styling and attention to detail. Today fifty of his designs still stand in New England.
